In exceptional circumstances, an individual may request in writing that the Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development waive this restriction. The Faculty Senate’s Research Grants Committee reviews grant applications and makes recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development. A New Faculty or Regular Faculty Research Grant may be held simultaneously with a Summer Excellence Research Award, but a New Faculty and Regular Faculty Research Grant cannot be held simultaneously. Recipients of a previous research grant must submit a final report and a proposal for external support before applying for another research grant.
