Internal Research Awards

There are three types of intramural, competitive awards available through the Office of Research and Economic Development:

  • New Faculty Research Awards,
  • Regular Faculty Research Awards, and
  • Faculty First Awards (offered by the Office of the Provost thanks to generous support of UNCG donors).

The Faculty Senate Research Grants Committee reviews internal award applications and makes recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development.

Recipients of a previous internal award must submit a final report before applying for another. Funds are only awarded to faculty who have not received an internal research award or Faculty First since June 30, 2014.
