Subsidies in Support of Publication, Media Development, and Exhibitions
Publication and Exhibition Subsidies
The Office of Research and Economic Development provides Publication and Exhibition Subsidies to supplement charges associated with publications of books, development of media, exhibition and performance charges, page charges for publishing manuscripts, and costs of reprints. Faculty can apply for up to $1,000 per academic year. Applications are due the last working day of October and February.
Book indexing is not eligible for reimbursement. Indexing software is provided free of charge at https://its.uncg.edu/software/available/list.
These limited funds assist with publication and exhibition expenses incurred while serving in a UNCG faculty appointment and within the last 12 month period. Reapplications are not considered if partial support has already been provided by this program.
Applications for funding should be sent to:

Currently, there are more than 30,000 open access journals published worldwide, and in lieu of a subscription-based business model, many open access journals require that authors pay an article processing fee. The University Libraries and the Office of Research and Economic Development provide the Open Access Publishing Support Fund to support those who choose open access publishing as the best venue for their work. Full-time faculty, full-time EPA employees, and enrolled graduate students can apply to the University Libraries for this funding.
