UNCG Research congratulates Dr. Stephanie Daniel on her funding from the School Health Alliance for Forsyth County. Her project is entitled “Program and Mental Health Coordination 2012-13.”

Dr. Daniel, Associate Director for the Center for Youth, Family, and Community Partnerships, will serve as the Program and Mental Health Coordinator for the Forsyth County School Health Alliance (SHA). The SHA, a non-profit partner organization to the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools, works to improve educational and health outcomes for school-aged children by providing school-based health and mental health services. An affiliate of the Pediatrics Department at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, the SHA collaborates with local health and human service agencies, parents, and educators in the county.

Dr. Daniel will work with current SHA administrative staff on program development, funding procurement, and business/finance operations. She will serve as a liaison  between the School Health Alliance and other the community and state agencies and organizations. Finally, she will provide training and staff development as well as clinical supervision of SHA mental health providers.
