SUMMARY:Islamic Studies Minor Meet and Greet Session
DESCRIPTION:All current undergraduate students are invited\, as well as current Islamic Studies students. \nYou can now minor in Islamic Studies at UNCG! Expand your knowledge of the principles and practices of one of the world’s most rapidly growing religions and explore how Islam has shaped history\, language\, and politics on a global scale. An FAQ session will be held Friday\, October 25th from 11:30-12:30 in MHRA 3501. Hot tea and vegetable samosas will be served! DESCRIPTION:On October 25th from 1:00-2:15pm\, the Lloyd International Honors College\, African American and African Diaspora department\, Chemistry and Biochemistry department\, Women’s\, Gender\, and Sexuality Studies department\, and English department will be hosting Christa Kuljian in the Sullivan Science Building\, Room 101. Kulijan will be speaking and answer questions about her book Our Science Ourselves: How Gender\, Race\, and Social Movements Shaped the Study of Science. The book serves to investigate intersectionality within the study of science throughout history.
