DESCRIPTION:The NIH Office of the Chief Information Officer and the NIH Office of Science Policy are hosting virtual “NIH Community Days” to discuss security best practices for Approved Users of NIH controlled-access data under the GDS Policy that maintain such data on institutional IT systems and third-party computing infrastructures\, ahead of the January 25\, 2025\, implementation of updated security standards.   \nScheduled for January 8 and January 10\, 2025\, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET\, these sessions are open to all researchers and institutional officials who are planning to request or already have access to genomic controlled-access data subject to the NIH Genomic Data Sharing Policy. Registration is required. Please use the links in the flyer for each day of the event to complete registration. ASL will be provided at the events. \nThe webinars will provide an overview of the new requirements outlined in NOT-OD-24-157 and related Frequently Asked Questions\, including details on how organizations can comply with the requirements.
