ORE Faculty Fellowship Program

The UNCG Office of Research and Engagement (ORE) is currently accepting applications for the 2022-2023 ORE Faculty Fellowship Program (FFP).

The goals of the ORE FFP are to:

  • Expand the fellow’s familiarity with the ORE: roles, office/unit structure, strategic and operational priorities, and programs, initiatives and activities;
  • Enhance the ORE administrative infrastructure in ORE; and
  • Develop the fellow’s research administration leadership capabilities.

Full-time UNCG faculty in professional and tenured appointments at the Associate and Full Professor rank are eligible to apply and serve as the ORE Faculty Fellow. Faculty applicants must have approval from their Chair/Head and Dean to apply to, and participate in, the program. The fellowship is one year, starting June 1, annually, with an option to renew for a second and final year by mutual agreement with the Vice Chancellor and Associate Vice Chancellor of Research and Engagement. The ORE FFP is designed to be incorporated with a faculty member’s established workload with the following support:

  • ORE will provide the unit/department with support for one course release per semester;
  • Summer salary (up to 1 month) for the Faculty Fellow may also be available. The awarding of summer salary will depend on the scope of work and activities the Fellow is engaged in.

Applications are due February 15, 2022 at 11:59pm. Applications must be submitted via the InfoReady system. The full program solicitation, application development guidelines, and submission portal can be found here: https://uncg.infoready4.com/#competitionDetail/1860047

Competitive applicants will be invited to participate in an interview with the Vice Chancellor, Associate Vice Chancellor, and current Faculty Fellow.

For additional information about the program please contact Dr. Kim Littlefield (kplittle@uncg.edu). For additional information about the responsibilities and logistics of being the ORE Faculty Fellow please contact Dr. Danielle Swick (dcswick@uncg.edu).
