Once the percent effort that an employee will devote to your project is determined, an Electronic Personnel Action Form (EPAF) is completed through the Banner HR system. These forms are completed by designated administrative personnel (either departmental staff or unit-based research administration staff; please consult your Associate Dean, for Research for more guidance).

Once the information is entered into the electronic system, you will receive an email asking you to log into Banner HR and review and approve the EPAF.
There are some circumstances in which specific project tasks may be best accomplished by contracting with individuals outside the university. However, it’s important to think through whether the nature and demands of the task are best served by bringing an individual on as a UNCG employee.
