2013 New Faculty Orientation continues

Orientation for new faculty does not end with the August sessions. Orientation will continue with a series of four, two-hour sessions scattered throughout the semester:

Office of Research & Economic Development
Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 8-10 a.m. or Thursday, Sept. 12 at 3:30-5:30 p.m. (MRHA 2711)

University Libraries: Open Access and Publishing Options
Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 3:30-5 p.m. or Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 8-9:30 a.m. (McIver 140)

Student Affairs and Undergraduate Studies
Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 2-3:30 p.m. or Thursday, Oct. 24 at 2:30-5 p.m. (McIver 140)

Faculty Governance, Service, and University Involvement
In November (details tbd)

New Faculty groups will continue into the spring semester as “professional learning communities.” Mentoring opportunities will be offered in the 2014-15 year.

FTLC Faculty Fellows focusing on professional development and mentoring programs are:

James Benshoff (Education) – Tenure Track New Faculty;
Regina Pulliam (Public Health Education) – Non-Tenure Track New Faculty
