UNCG Research congratulates Drs. Eric Jones and Arthur Murphy on receiving $3,397 in additional funding from the National Science Foundation for their project “Social Networks in Chronic Disasters – Exposure, Evacuation, and Resettlement.” The funds will support Mandy Elkins, a UNCG anthropology undergraduate student, in investigating how farmers decide to continue farming or not after being resettled because of the constant eruptions of Mt. Tungurahua in Ecuador.
