Ready for School, Ready for Life, in partnership with UNC Greensboro and The Duke Endowment, has launched a new community survey to seek input from Guilford County residents about early childhood and school readiness.

The survey asks:

How can Guilford County as a community help young children to be better prepared for success in school?

The survey is open to any resident of Guilford County, although input is especially sought from:

  • families of children between the ages of 3 years old and first grade,
  • as well as professionals who work with children in this age group and their families.

All participants who complete the survey can enter a drawing for one of ten available $50 gift cards.

The survey will inform the Get Ready Guilford Initiative, which is supported by a multi-year investment from Blue Meridian Partners. Blue Meridian is a national partnership of impact-driven philanthropists seeking to transform life trajectories of America’s children and youth by making large investments in promising solutions.

Currently, Ready for School, Ready for Life is building its strategy for 3- to 5-year-olds in Guilford County. Responses to the survey will be used to inform future programs and resources for 3- to 5-year-olds, their families, and professionals who work with them.
