As part of our commitment to health and wellness and vibrant communities, the University aims to increase health-related funding by 10% each year (using a three-year rolling average). This target includes funding related to physical health as well as behavioral and integrated health.

In FY19 UNCG saw $22,093,792 in health-related funding, bringing our three-year rolling average to $19,453,639 – a 15% increase over the previous year’s rolling average.

The three leading units bringing in health-related funding in FY19 were:

  • School of Health and Human Sciences (34%)
  • Office of Research and Engagement (32%)
  • College of Arts and Sciences (23%)

Since establishing a baseline three years ago in 2016, our cumulative rolling averages for health-related funding have risen by 46%.
