SUMMARY:AI Innovation Challenge
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that UNC Greensboro will host its AI Innovation Challenge on Thursday\, October 24\, from 3:00–6:00 p.m. at Union Square. This inaugural event will bring together students\, faculty\, industry partners\, and community leaders to imagine\, design\, and pitch forward-thinking solutions that harness the power of artificial intelligence to address real-world challenges. \n\n\n\nThe Challenge will feature projects that: \n\n\n\n\nLeverage AI to advance research and discovery\n\n\n\nDevelop AI-based tools with commercialization potential\n\n\n\nApply AI to create measurable benefits for industry\, community\, and society\n\n\n\n\nHow you and your departments can participate: \n\n\n\n\nEncourage Participation: Please share this opportunity widely with your students and faculty to form teams and submit proposals.\n\n\n\nHighlight AI Activity: We would love to spotlight AI-related research and teaching already happening in your colleges and departments. Please share examples we can promote as part of this initiative.\n\n\n\nShowcase Your Work: We will have limited space available for colleges/departments to host a table during the event. This is a great way to highlight your AI engagement and connect with partners.\n\n\n\n\nTo make sharing easier\, we have created a short form where you can indicate your department’s AI-related work and request a table space: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/Jsf6kSUtPz. \n\n\n\nThe Innovation Challenge is more than a competition—it is a chance for UNCG to demonstrate leadership in applied\, responsible\, and interdisciplinary AI innovation. With your support\, we can showcase the breadth of talent across our campus and create new opportunities for collaboration.
