Governance indexes are composite measures that assess how effectively institutions govern, based on political, legal, and administrative indicators. These unique sources of information can be extremely useful but are also complicated and sometimes controversial. In this session, we will look at several different examples of governance indexes (as well as other index types) and also discuss how to evaluate and cite these tools. No matter what your level of familiarity with this type of source might be, you are invited to join us and learn more.
