Knowledge Production Corner Masterclass: Communicating Community Engagement  with Collaboratory

The Knowledge Production Corner Masterclass Series is a curated professional development opportunity offered by the Institute for Community and Economic Engagement. The Fall 2026 Series is designed to help you explore how you can communicate your work to a range of audiences using digital tools and innovative communication methods. It will also encourage you to reflect on how you can build networks, both in person and digitally, and connect more closely with your professional community. And with support from UNCG experts, you will develop new skills you can apply immediately for communicating your work more broadly. 

In this session, you will learn more about Collaboratory, UNCG’s primary tool for communicating the work of community engaged research on our campus and beyond. Developed at UNCG, the Collaboratory platform is now an industry-shaping tool in use at scores of higher education institutions nationwide. Join this session to learn tips on developing your profile, adding activities, and using Collaboratory reports to tell a fuller story of your engaged research.

Sessions in the series this semester will focus on Collaboratory, podcasting, social media, video and video sharing platforms, and narrative assessment techniques (Ripple Effects Mapping). As part of the Knowledge Production Corner, a regular offering in the Institute, participants will also enjoy continued, wraparound support in implementing what they learn in the Masterclass after it ends.
