Music professor receives NC Heritage Award

Gaurang Doshi is a recipient of the 2025 North Carolina Heritage Award, presented by the North Carolina Arts Council, the highest honor given to a traditional artist in the state.

Entrepreneurship is a creative endeavor

Artists are imbued with the creative drive needed to launch successful careers, an essential element they come to UNC Greensboro’s College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) to develop and augment. This winter, Innovate UNCG launched a new Impact through Innovation (ITI) Hub in CVPA to further foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within artistic disciplines.

CVPA will be hosting several performances of Carrie: The Musical from October 31st until November 3rd at varying times.

Growing Animation Program Moves Into New Space

Deep inside the Gatewood Studio Arts Building on the campus of UNC Greensboro, tucked away on the back hall of the second floor, is a state-of-the art studio where animators work on industry standard equipment to create 2D, 3D, and interactive projects.
