Natalie Paul’s topic for her honors thesis had a personal connection to her own life, but her research opened her eyes to the gaps that leave many other students in need. It inspired her to act, forming the student organization “Foster Forward” to help kids aging out of foster care take the next step.

UNCG researchers Dharod and DeJesus are leading a $784,369 NIH-funded trial to reduce breastfeeding barriers for Latine parents. The community health collaboration includes Cone Health and student researchers from UNCG nutrition and psychology.
