Join us for a unique film screening & live hip hop performance!
Shaolin Jazz will perform a special CAN I KICK IT? presentation. They will screen the sci-fi action classic THE MATRIX, but with the added twist of a live music soundtrack by DJ 2-Tone Jones.
THE MATRIX (The Wachowskis, 1999) is a seminal film that combines innovative martial arts choreography, groundbreaking CGI effects, and a philosophical debate about identity and purpose within an AI dominated dystopia.
This event is presented by UNCG Human Rights Film Festival and sponsored by Media Studies, Lloyd International Honors College, Peace & Conflict Studies, Political Science, and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. Other sponsors include Antenna Releasing and Someone’s Favorite Productions.
