This event is designed to showcase graduate research and creative work to a variety of non-specialized audiences. Students should plan to present their work in a way that is accessible to diverse audiences and explain in jargon-free language why their work matters and is relevant. Students should imagine speaking to middle college students, undergraduates, journalists, community members, area business owners, representatives from boards and foundations, state legislators, or your neighbors down the street. Students are asked not to re-use a poster or paper that was prepared for a discipline-specific conference but to think of this new audience and the best way to communicate with them.
