Featured Image for New Assistant Director in Office of Sponsored Programs

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Rebecca Libera, formerly Grants Specialist, to Assistant Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs. Becky is a Renaissance woman with a broad and deep background across multiple disciplines.

In addition to her leadership in grants administration, Becky is a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist and a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist. She is also an active performer and teacher as a bassoonist with multiple symphonies including the Fayetteville, Salisbury, and on occasion the Greensboro and North Carolina Symphonies, and has been an executive director of a local arts non-profit organization.

For those of us who have been fortunate to have Becky as our pre-award contact, we know firsthand her meticulous attention to detail; the speed, comprehensiveness, and quality of her work; and her ability to proactively anticipate and navigate challenges across a wide array of projects and sponsors.

Welcome, Becky, to your new role!
