Taylee Gaillard balances a full schedule of hospitality and marketing courses, student filmmaking, and skateboarding, all thanks to the supportive friends and faculty he’s found since coming to UNCG.
On April 4, 2025, UNCG’s Global Engagement Office will host its first campus-wide Global Symposium, which the office plans to make an annual event. The Global Symposium will be an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to connect with a community of like-minded global citizens.

The NIH-funded U-RISE program at UNCG is currently seeking applications from talented undergraduates for the 2024-25 cycle.
Elijah Resuello sated his curiosity about the natural world through the lens of microscopes and doing experiments out in the grasslands. His time spent studying biology, ecology, and entomology at UNCG has prepared him to appreciate and change the world around him.
Natalie Paul’s topic for her honors thesis had a personal connection to her own life, but her research opened her eyes to the gaps that leave many other students in need. It inspired her to act, forming the student organization “Foster Forward” to help kids aging out of foster care take the next step.
