The Office of Research and Economic Development supports faculty, staff, and students in their quest to generate positive impact. Through research, creative activity, and community and economic engagement., UNCG's faculty and staff shape the world, and our students learn methods of critical thinking and effecting change. We work together to fulfill our responsibility to the larger community as a hub for resources, expertise, and engagement activity.
The Office of Sponsored Programs supports sponsored research activities at UNCG. This unit is the central point of coordination for sponsored projects and the University's authorized representative for grants, contracts, and other agreements from government agencies, private industry, and non-profit foundations.
UNCG Research oversees the planning, establishment, discontinuation, and review of institutional centers and institutes. Our office houses nine campus-wide interdisciplinary centers
UNCG Research engages with our world through our Economic Development arm, the Institute for Community & Economic Engagement (ICEE), the Office of Innovative Commercialization, and the Small Business & Technology Development Center.
