Center for Women’s Health and Wellness 5th Annual Research Forum

February 28, 2025
The Center for Women’s Health and Wellness is hosting its 5th annual Research Forum to showcase scholarly work related to women’s health and wellness at UNCG.
This in-person event will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025. We have identified an amazing keynote speaker, Dr. Lisa Bowleg, who directs the Intersectionality Training Institute. She will give a keynote presentation about her own research: “Intersectionality: An Indispensable Critical Framework for Qualitative Equity Research”. Dr. Bowleg will also lead a 2-hour workshop titled “The 5 Most Important Things Health Equity Researchers Need to Know About Doing Qualitative Intersectionality Research”.
We also plan to showcase research from across the university with an emphasis on girl’s and women’s health and wellness. We encourage faculty, staff, and students who are interested in presenting their work to submit an abstract. A goal of the research forum this year is to highlight qualitative research; however, we welcome both qualitative and quantitative research presentations.
