Mid-Career Faculty Book Club

February 27 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
A forest of trees

The Provost Fellows, in conjunction with UTLC, are excited to kick-off the Mid-Career Faculty Development Program, designed to support faculty as they navigate the unique challenges and opportunities of mid-career. While the program is tailored to faculty who are mid-career—typically those who have achieved key milestones, such as tenure or promotion to associate professor, and are now focused on balancing expanded responsibilities, exploring leadership opportunities, and advancing their careers within or beyond academia—all faculty are welcome to participate and benefit from these offerings.

This program aims to foster professional growth, build community, and provide practical tools to enhance your academic journey. We are offering two key components:

  1. Book Club: Join our book club to explore relevant topics that impact your professional growth, well-being, and career development. Each session includes thought-provoking discussions, interactive workshops, or guest speakers to deepen the experience.
  2. Professional Development Sessions: Take part in our development sessions tailored for mid-career faculty. These sessions address topics like advancing from associate to full professor, navigating structural and systemic challenges, and leadership skills, offering actionable strategies to help you thrive in your role.
