Major Avenues of Support
The Research Advisory Council is here to support you in your scholarly and creative endeavors. RAC brings the primary research administrators from each UNCG academic unit together with representatives from our campus- wide centers and other groups crucial to the support of research activities, such as University Libraries and Information Technology Services. The council seeks to promote a positive research culture, expand research opportunities, and continually improve research administration. When you embark on a new scholarly or creative endeavor, contact your RAC representative for help developing a successful research strategy that best utilizes the infrastructure and support systems available at UNCG.

They provide our faculty, staff, and students with greater research opportunities, facilities, and assistance, as well as enhance their involvement in public service and educational activities. Centers and institutes also have a strong positive impact on the economic development of the state by providing job opportunities, supplying technical assistance and training, fostering community development, and enhancing the transfer of new technology.
Several research networks have been established to foster interdisciplinary research and scholarly activities at UNCG. Composed of faculty members and researchers from the UNCG community whose scholarship and teaching reflect a core theme, these networks capitalize on and leverage UNCG’s strengths by coordinating and facilitating collaborations and enhancing research, scholarship and teaching.
